Norman Music Festival 2025 – Media Pass Terms & Conditions
So, you want a media pass for NMF 2025? Sweet! We love having talented folks capturing the magic. But before you get started, let’s lay down some ground rules.
Please keep in mind that only a limited number of media passes will be given out NMF 2025.
Approval of a Media Pass is granted by the Norman Music Alliance. A non-acceptance does NOT mean we think you’re not a great photographer.
1. Pass = Access, Not Superpowers
Your media pass gets you into designated areas, but it does not grant you VIP status, infinite backstage access, or the ability to ignore security like you own the place. Want to get into an exclusive area? Ask permission (politely), and if it’s a no, accept it with grace. And no, waving your pass around like a golden ticket won’t work — we promise, we’ve seen it all before. STAY OFF THE STAGES. Thanks!
NMF designated areas include:
• The front section of the Main Stage, at the discretion of the Vibe Patrol (security), some bands have more rules than others.
• The crowd (duh).
2. Be Cool, Not a Creep
We get it — you want the perfect shot. But that doesn’t mean shoving your way to the front, blocking fans, or treating artists like zoo exhibits. No one likes an aggressive photographer. Also, if an artist, fan, or staff member asks you to back off, listen to them. We reserve the right to yank your pass if you can’t play nice.
3. Shoot Smart
Photography and videography are totally welcome, but full-set recordings and unauthorized livestreams? Nope. That’s a fast track to getting blacklisted. Stick to editorial and promotional use — if you’re unsure what’s allowed, ask us before you hit record. And let’s be real: nobody needs a shaky 90-minute iPhone video of a set when professional footage already exists.
4. Sharing is Caring (Kind Of)
We love seeing your work and would like the opportunity to even share it on our platforms — with proper credit, of course. By covering NMF, we ask that you share any content you are comfortable sharing with us. Remember, we are a free festival, for the community and we all want to play nice with each other. A Google Drive link will be shared with you in the event of your acceptance to drop content. (There will be more instructions with that later, if accepted.)
5. Your Gear, Your Responsibility
Your camera is your baby. We get that. But if it gets lost, stolen, soaked in beer, or used as a projectile in a mosh pit, that’s on you. Keep an eye on your stuff, be mindful of the chaos around you, and maybe don’t bring your most fragile, uninsured gear unless you’re willing to risk it. Our Vibe Parol (security) will also be on the lookout for any crazy behavior that may lead to this kind of nonsense happening.
6. Rule-Breakers Beware
If you ignore these super reasonable (and frankly, common sense) guidelines, we won’t hesitate to revoke your pass. And no, there won’t be a debate or an appeal process — it’ll be a bye-bye, enjoy the festival kind of situation. Play by the rules, and we’ll all have a great time. We reserve the right to rescind any media passes of those who are in violation of our media code of conduct or for reasons that jeopardize the safety and security of NMF attendees, volunteers, or artists. Still in? Awesome. Now, go capture some legendary moments and have fun!
